ChatGPT vs Claude vs Gemini for Game Developers: Which Wins Which Task
“Which AI is best” is the wrong question for a studio — the honest answer changes with the task, not the headline benchmark.
Why this matters now
On our own projects we default to Claude for long-context code review and careful refactors, ChatGPT for fast drafts and tooling iteration, and Gemini when a task needs multimodal research or Google-ecosystem integration.
What we're actually seeing
Studios that treat this as a one-time fix rather than an ongoing practice tend to see the gains fade within a quarter — the teams getting lasting results build it into their regular process.
Our recommendation
Pick per task, not per team. Running two models with a human merge gate catches more bugs than betting everything on one subscription.

This is exactly the kind of breakdown I needed — saved for the next sprint planning.

Curious how this holds up on lower-end mobile hardware?
